As with all rare teas, the production of Palace and Ocean Green Needle is carried out with the utmost care and attention. In Hubei Province, only the finest shoots and tips are harvested in mid-April, steamed, dried, sieved, and re-selected before final packaging. The varying temperatures used are also particularly important: In contrast to superheated steam, more moderate temperatures are used for the subsequent drying process to preserve the tea's beautiful color and aroma.
